Better forecasts lead to better logistics decisions.
I designed an AI-powered forecasting platform that helps freight forwarders predict shipment demand, plan operational capacity, and improve forecast accuracy through one connected planning experience.
Forecasting isn't about predicting numbers. It's about planning operations.
Freight forwarders rely on accurate demand forecasts before committing transportation capacity, warehouse resources, and operational planning. Every forecast influences how shipments move across the supply chain.
A poor forecast doesn't just affect reporting—it creates costly operational consequences.
Every forecast shapes operational success.
Accurate forecasts help logistics teams reserve the right capacity, avoid costly delays, prevent unused resources, and keep shipments moving efficiently.
Designing the Product Foundation.
After mapping the forecasting workflow, I focused on translating complex planning tasks into a connected product experience. Every decision aimed to improve visibility, reduce manual effort, and help planners make confident operational decisions.
Moving forecasting beyond spreadsheets.
Planning teams relied on spreadsheets to create forecasts, track shipment volumes, compare actual performance, and measure forecast accuracy. As data grew, the process became increasingly manual, fragmented, and difficult to scale. The opportunity was to transform this into a connected forecasting platform that supported faster planning and more informed operational decisions.

Bringing the Forecasting Platform to Life
The final solution is organized into four connected modules that mirror the way planners work—from getting a high-level view of forecasting health to creating forecast data, monitoring operational performance, and evaluating forecasting accuracy over time. Together, they create a unified experience that supports faster planning, clearer insights, and more confident decision-making.
This is where planners gain a high-level understanding of forecasting health before diving deeper into individual workflows. The dashboard consolidates key metrics, trends, alerts, and AI-generated insights into a single decision-making hub, enabling users to quickly identify issues and prioritize actions.
This module serves as the operational workspace for creating and maintaining forecast data. It enables planners to organize forecast inputs, apply seasonal adjustments, and manage shipment forecasts in a structured and scalable table experience.

Forecasts are only valuable when compared against real operational outcomes. This module helps planners evaluate forecast performance by comparing planned and booked volumes, making it easier to identify variances and investigate potential issues.

Improving forecast quality requires continuous evaluation. This module provides historical accuracy metrics and trend analysis, allowing planners to measure forecasting performance over time and identify opportunities for refinement.
